UCAA signs MOU with UnASDG IGO for capacity building

UnASDG is pleased to have signed an MOU on capacity building in Uganda, after UnASDG has established the International Authority for Flight and Airspace Security (IAFAS).

Under the MoU, the UNASDG-IGO is willing to support the training of UCAA personnel and to procure more modern equipment for body searches to enhance security.

Senator Rajiv Goel, speaking on behalf of the President of the UnASDG at the signing of the MoU at Entebbe Airport last week, said that the construction of the aviation training institute was also planned.

“Since the UCAA already has its own land, it will be easy for us to build an infrastructure for the training institute,” said Rajiv Goel, head director of the Council of Foreign Affairs.

Under the terms of the signed memorandum of understanding, the parties will exchange information individually and collectively. All projects, programs or measures between the parties are to be agreed individually. A quick start is planned.
