Burkina Faso sets new priorities with UnASDG in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals

UnASDG Vice President Senator Hans Pflanz and UnASDG Honorary Senator Martin Nkafu Nkemnkia discussed strategies for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) during a visit of the Government of Burkina Faso.

The UnASDG delegation met different Ministries and Ministers, to define the needs, the actual situation and the planned target situation of Burkina Faso.

Now that it has been clear since the weekend that the military, represented by the leader Ibrahim Traore, will continue to rule the transition phase to democracy in the country for another five years, there are virtually no more obstacles to the implementation of aid measures to achieve a normal living situation in a democracy in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Both parties will now start working on a cooperation agreement designed to achieve economic stability at micro and macro level. Furthermore, the creation of jobs, educational institutions, energy production and supply companies, the development and expansion of agricultural businesses as well as general measures for a safe life in Burkina Faso with appropriate communication and infrastructure using innovative technologies and solutions should be promoted.

Vice President Senator Hans Pflanz and Honorary Senator and UnASDG Head of Faith Communities Africa, Martin Nkafu Nkemnkia, who is also Chairman of the NCDEIF Foundation, spent four days with its local delegation members in Burkina Faso to get everything on track and off to a quick start.

UnASDG is honored to join this special challenge together with its SDG Achievements Alliance Advisory Board as well as its associated monetary authority, and it will be a pleasure for all of us to work together to achieve the set goals for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Republic of Burkina Faso.

Special thanks and greetings go to the local administration and security team for their excellent work, preparation and support during our stay.
